Ron, an investor and venture capitalist, contacted us because he was hoping we could help him with a unique project using 3D human imaging hardware and software.
He had purchased the hardware, so he owned all rights to the technology. He was in contact with creators of software that would do 3D human body imaging. He then contracted an animating engineer (from Disney) to develop a computer system that utilized the 3D imaging software with his hardware, so that it would go around a person taking photographs and then convert those into a comprehensive 3D image for many practical uses (medical and otherwise).
The hardware needed to be legally reverse engineered with a parts list and manufacturing plan, including 3 high-end graphic’s cards so that it could fit into the device’s stand (which was a limited size) and drive it’s cameras.
We then collaborated with the animator, the creators of the computer software and Ron to come up with the plan for supply and manufacturing of the whole 3D imaging system. After we did this, we were able to manufacture several (20+) of these for sales worldwide.
